Windmill bakery wanted to cover a number of issues. These included:

  1. Reduce traffic accident claims by providing video evidence around the vehicle
  2. Monitor other road traffic to reduce down time and lateness
  3. A forward facing camera giving coverage of the road ahead
  4. Monitor other road traffic to reduce down time and lateness
  5. Internal monitor utilised for reversing and blind spots.
A solution was implemented in which 3 cameras per vehicle were installed. These were focussed on a forward facing camera giving coverage of the road ahead, blind spot on Passenger side and a camera on the rear of the vehicle, also utilised for reversing.
The system provided a dual capability with regards to viewing video information; firstly the on-board digital video recorder (DVR) recorded all the data on its secure password protected memory. Secondly, the DVR was fitted with a 3G streaming option which allowed UPS Direct Transport to remotely monitor live video feeds at any time.
The system produced outstanding return on investment.
